Purpose of Job
To follow warehouse processes and receive, store, pick, pack and distribute stock efficiently and accurately and fulfil customer orders within set delivery timescales
Duties and Responsibilities
1.1 To process customer orders and pick and pack stock with due regard to specified timeframes, prepare and check orders for accuracy before dispatch to Instructors, transfer stock from bulk locations to picking area as and when appropriate in a timely manner. Put stock away in correct pick locations on a regular basis to avoid overflow situations. To inspect and check incoming stock against purchase orders and identify and correctly label all stock received. To use the warehouse management system (currently ERP) and enter relevant information on both incoming and outgoing orders. To support inventory management processes including warehouse organization and bi-annual stock takes, assist with purchasing processes and acquire the right stock on time and in optimal quantities as and when required, to provide relevant information to finance department including but not limited to supplier invoices and goods received notes, accept all parcels and deliveries and ensure they are distributed quickly and accurately, segregate returned products into re-stockable, used sale item and disposal categories as appropriate, and process them according to procedure. To maintain records as directed by KDE Logistics Coordinator and other KDE Logistics Assistant, keep all walkways, gangways, and fire exits clear of stock and or rubbish. To report any damage to stock and/or warehouse to KDE Logistics Coordinator and the other KDE Logistics Assistant, answer telephone calls coming to the department in a professional, courteous and helpful manner. To maintain good working relationships with other Associates and Instructor, work and liaise closely with other Associates within the same department and other teams and develop effective systems and good practice within KDE. To assist as and when required, in the training of new Associates to the department. To work closely with Associates in the warehouse to identify any concerns regarding data inputting issues and assist in implementing changes to working practices as and when directed to do so by KDE Logistics Coordinator. To be proactive and committed to an ongoing programme of professional self-development, carry out housekeeping to ensure the tidiness and correct placement of stock and the cleanliness of the warehouse. To attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required. There may be a necessity for these to be outside of normal working times for which lieu time and or overtime would be awarded, work with, abide to and positively promote all KEA policies and/or procedures including but not limited to, health and safety matters. Subject to reasonable request with sufficient notice, to work overtime as and when required to meet the demands of the business. To carry out all reasonable duties as and when requested by KDE Logistics Coordinator or any other senior management member.
