About this centre

As a Japanese teacher, I have been familiar with the KUMON method in theory and practice for many years.

I experienced its effectiveness right from the beginning of my work as an instructor in the context of supplementary language support for children from Japanese families living in Germany, who were able to use the KUMON teaching material to successfully connect with their mother tongue in spoken and written form.

This target group of Japanese children expanded in the further development through the support of children from German schools, who were able to consolidate their performance in the subjects English and Mathematics through the continuous acquisition of skills and were able to compensate for weaknesses.

In this target group, a clear increase in children from families with a migration background from different countries can be observed in the current development phase. Here the KUMON learning centre fulfils a function of social inclusion that should not be underestimated.
